Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

It seems like interactive is the way to go when it comes to business. I work in research and marketing and the company recently developed interactive presentations for our clients in PowerPoint. The most recent application has been interactive reports which we can view with Crystal Report Viewer. This allows us and our clients to take a report and manipulate it to show information the way we prefer to see it. PPC Analysis

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Let us assume you are selling a product worth $20 and your profit margins, excluding ppc advertisers and their costs, are 25%. Let us say you bid $2 on a keyword, and received 2,000 visitors out of which 100 actually purchased your product. This means that you have spent $4,000 (2,000 visitors × $2) to generate $2,000 (100 buyers × $20) worth of sales (out of which your profit is $500). This amounts to a loss of $3500 - a bad move any which way you look at it. So, bid on keywords that fit within your budget and work well within your product's price tag. Remember, on an average, only 2-5% of visitors will get converted into customers.

Distance Learning

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

The computer professionals involved with overseeing the server where the exercise physiology program was located in distance education degree program, helped us with the UNIX language needed to grade and provide feedback to students taking the quizzes. The advantage of having quiz results placed onto a FileMaker Pro database was that the results could be observed and monitored by the exercise physiology instructor who had access to these files. In order to assure that students were taking the practice quizzes, 10% of their grade was based on their performance. The instructor allowed students to take the practice quizzes as many times as possible, until they had scored well enough to feel they had mastered the content.

Friday, November 30th, 2007

The website design software package that I have is a very cheap one, though it has enabled me to build a website that looks pretty good, and has brought some really nice comments from some of my work mates. However, everything changes, and I realized that I needed a Professional HTML Editor in order to make some really good changes to my website and make it look like it was really professional. I took some time to do some research and after a while found the package that was just right for me, which enabled me to add graphics and animation and really make the thing come alive.
