Protecting UNIX system security
Monday, September 8th, 2008Access to a Web server’s content, CGI scripts, and configuration files is controlled by entries in an access file, where on Apache and NCSA Web servers the file is .htaccess , while on Netscape servers it is .nsconfig , and on CERN it is .www_acl . Access or use of this computer system by any person, whether authorized or unauthorized, constitutes your consent to these terms, where these access types include read, write, and execute. Newer systems, including several UNIX systems, provide flexible and more powerful access control mechanisms.
