PPC Analysis

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Let us assume you are selling a product worth $20 and your profit margins, excluding ppc advertisers and their costs, are 25%. Let us say you bid $2 on a keyword, and received 2,000 visitors out of which 100 actually purchased your product. This means that you have spent $4,000 (2,000 visitors × $2) to generate $2,000 (100 buyers × $20) worth of sales (out of which your profit is $500). This amounts to a loss of $3500 - a bad move any which way you look at it. So, bid on keywords that fit within your budget and work well within your product's price tag. Remember, on an average, only 2-5% of visitors will get converted into customers.

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

The world we live in today changes very quickly. And the world of computers and technology changes even faster. That is why it is a requirement to be recertified from time to time. The cisco ccsp certification requires this every three years. And I think it is a very good thing. Security for any orginization is critical and it's people have to be up to date on the latest developments. Due to the difficult nature of this certification it may be wise to attend one of the Cisco boot camps prior to your recertification attemp.

Searching For Info On Document Management Guidelines

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

It’s time to get serious about Document Management Guidelines.
We’re buried in red tape and paper here, and we really need to get our act together.
I’ve done some research on Document Management Software Reviews over the past few weeks to try and figure out the best solution for our company.
I’d rather be on the golf course, naturally, but hopefully the effort will save enugh time down the line to make up for it.
Ok - that’s it for today.

I need to learn to run the cables myself, since I’m not planning on paying someone to do it.
Of course learning about Bulk Plenum Cable is not a big deal. It’s just a minor hassle.
I figure that it will be a good thing to know how to do down the line anyway.

The Skinny On Finding A Wireless Laptop

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Alright, I’m sick of working at home. I’m going to go crazy if I stay boxed up here any longer. Time to get a wireless laptop so I can work in cafes and actually be around other people.
Laptop Wireless Connections must be the best invention ever. For me anyway. Anything that gets me out of the house is great, but one that lets me get my work done and be around people is truly life changing.
Where to work tomorrow? Starbucks? The library? The park even? So many choices.
Until next time.

Wondering About Electron Microscopy Sciences

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

So lately I’ve been wondering about
Electron Microscopy Sciences. Research has been troublesome, though.
The more I read about
Electron Microscope Forensic Science Tools, for example, the more confused I get. All the different sites seem to contradict each other.
The market for electron microscopes is small, of course, which means that info is even harder to track down. We have a limited budget, so we really need to narrow down the cost potential.
At least I know more now than I did.
Let me know what you think about all this.
