Using the Nintendo DS

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

Using the Nintendo DS is easy.  You can play on one of the two screens and chat on another with friends.  In addition to using the control buttons, you also have the option of using a stylus.  The stylus makes the Nintendo DS unique from other handheld games in that it enables you to play the puzzle games in the popular Brain Age pack without having to use buttons.  Answers can be written in with the stylus on the LCD screen.  Because the Nintendo DS has touch screen technology, you have the option of using the stylus not only for gaming but for communicating with friends.  Simply write a message on the screen and hit send and you can send it to one of the people in your network.  It’s easy and fun to use the nintendo ds handheld game system.

Reasons Against Homeschooling High School Students

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

While home schooling proponents will point out all of the positive aspects to homeschooling high school students such as the fact that the students do better academically and are in a safer environment, others who are against home schooling will state that there are many more negatives to homeschooling high school students than positive aspects.  Those who do not agree with home schooling will point out the lack of social interactions that take place when a child is home schooled.  Homeschooling high school students is considered especially difficult for young people because this is the time in their lives when they need to learn how to interact with other people.  Those who are against home schooling are usually against it because of the lack of social interaction for the students.
