Just think about the plight of a young school child who has undergone acute suffering, physically as well as emotionally, due to sexual harassment. Parents cannot trust school authorities, teachers and other staff of the school as sexual harassment cases are so much prevalent these days. Children too have lost respect for teachers as well as the educational institutions.

Every now and then you may hear about a child being sexually assaulted. All this has made the parents apprehensive about the safety of their children age discrimination law in the schools.

I believe that stringent policies have to be made in this regard and laws need to be improved. Also, school authorities must not forget that it is their prime responsibility to provide safe and secure environment to the students.
