Social Security Disability: Filling The Gap Before Retirement.

It wasn’t long ago when my mother in law retired from her job as a nighttime school custodian.

We all knew how much she disliked her job, but the benefits and pension plan she was receiving were excellent.

Her retirement, however, came about sooner than expected due to a severe circulation problem in her leg which eventually led a harrowing trip to the emergency room.

She suffered a ruptured artery in her leg leaving her with minimal to no use of it.

Since her retirement benefits would not apply before age 65, she had to file a Social Security Appeal in order to qualify for the interim living expenses.
