What Is Dukes C Colon Carcinoma?
The colon cancer or colon carcinoma is classified into different stages based on its growth. If the cancer grows in at least three lymph nodes, it is said to have reached stage 3 which is also known as Dukes C colon carcinoma.
The stage 3 colon carcinoma is further divided into three groups, based on the growth of the tumor. The classification is done from the least advanced stage to the most advanced one. The least advanced stage is known as stage 3A aka Duke's C1. The stage with a little more advanced cancer is called 3B aka Duke's C2. On the other hand the most advanced stage is called 3C aka Duke's C3.
